Ons Summercamp USA team juicht voor Mexico!
Hi Marjolein & Aniek,
How is your country (whether it participates or not) experiencing this event?
We are very excited about the World Cup over here as well. It seems that every bar/restaurant/ even café has t.vs all tuned into the games and there are lots of food/drink specials themed on the games and goals scored. It's also what everyone is taking about and there's flags and a general buzz around the city. We even go a company wide memo that we can amend our lunch hours (come in early/stay late) to take longer or later lunches if we want to watch specific matches.
Are you going to watch the World Cup Soccer games? If so, where and how and who's your favorite team? If not, what are your plans?
As for me personally, I've never really followed soccer much, but I do find it entertaining and am getting into it because of the hype. On Saturday we watched the USA Vs England match and the bar I went to was packed full of fans (mostly of US but there were some Brits there as well) and they had projectors and everything set up. Definitely a big todo and that seems to be the case for all the big games.
Who will be the World champion in your opinion?
I myself think Mexico is going to win. I know it's a long shot, but I just have a hunch. I'll send some fun pictures of the next big match I watch!
Go Mexico!!!
Kelly
